Wigram Emergency Ordinance Disposal

Leighs Construction's Emergency Ordinance Disposal facility at Wigram Air Base, which included mazes to help train Defence Force staff to operate bomb disposal robots, won praise for the company from the Commanding Officer, and a New Zealand Defence Force Certificate of Appreciation. The first of a nationwide roll-out of these facilities, this project was complex and included workshops, offices, training rooms, secure rooms and a small residence for the staff who man the facility 24/7.
